JAM 1 -  PHRF = Less Then 151 

JAM stands for Jib and Main only, which means you are not allowed to use a spinniker if  you choose to race in this section.The measurement and handicap rule to be used is the Lake Michigan Performance Handicap Racing Fleet. The offshore fleet assigns section breaks using LMPHRF and LMPHRF/JAM ratings. 

JAM 2 - PHRF = 151 to 179

SPINNIKER 7 - PHRF - 137 and higher 

The spinniker section allows the use of a spinniker. The measurement and handicap rule to be used is the Lake Michigan Performance Handicap Racing Fleet. The offshore fleet assigns section breaks using LMPHRF and LMPHRF/JAM ratings.
