The Chicago Corinthian Frostbite Fleet was started in the late '60s sailing 711s.  About 1970, Newell Cadets were purchased by the members of the fleet and the boat was re-named Corinthian Dinghy.    Only a mainsail is used so that the boat can be singlehanded.  The Dinghy is 11 feet long and weighs  230 pounds.

The Frostbite Fleet season runs from October 15 to May 14.  Weather permitting, there are races every Saturday and Sunday from 12:30 to 3:30 PM during Standard time and 1:30 to 4:00 PM during Daylight time.  If the air and water temperatures are above 32 degrees we are probably sailing.
