 The CCYC Junior Fleet was re-established in 1996
to develop knowledgeable youth sailors and instill in them a love
of the sport of boating that will serve as a foundation for their
futures and for the club.

Capsize Champs: Samantha Fuchs, Ella Gale
Shannon Fuchs is still the Junior Fleeter with the most capsizes
and recoveries, but she is always looking for others to challenge
her.
This year our instructors will be getting some more helping hands.
Erica Trejo and Christa will be assisting with the Junior Fleet
and, thanks to Peter Meissner the R19 Fleet Captain; we are planning
this year again a R19 race with our Junior Fleeters.
If any of the parents is interested in getting more involved in
sailing and volunteering, Bruce can provide you with a US Sailing
Dinghy Instruction Manual to get you started.
Should there be a interest in a specific subject, please contact
Bruce or Ginny and it can be covered at one of the monthly dry land
clinics.
